Links & resources
Here are some helpful sites that have helped me (and might help you) with creating my website!
- W3 Schools - really helpful site, contains resources for HTML, CSS, Javascript and many other languages. Totally recommend it!
- MDN Web Docs - the best website for CSS, also contains resources for HTML and Javascript.
- Scripted's Resources - a website with scripts to make your website beautiful. That's where I got the script for the falling sakura petals!
- Cursors-4U - a website with cursors that you can add to your website. There is a premade script for you to add to your website for animated and non-animated cursors. That's where I got the Rei cursor!
- Blinkies Cafe - a website with customizable blinkies! Really love it!
- Adrian's Blinkie Collection - a website with loads of blinkies, stamps & buttons! Note: there are a lot of images on this site, so it may take some time to load.
- Neocities - a free website hosting service. This is what i I used to create my website. It has 1 gigabyte of free storage and a built-in text editor. There is a option to upgrade to a Supporter tier to access more perks, features and to support the developers of Neocities. Also recommend it!
- Nekoweb - also a free website hosting service, can be used as a alternative to Neocities. It has a Supporter tier, actually, two of them. There is no file type limit, but 500 megabytes of storage can feel limiting compared to Neocities's 1 gigabyte storage. You might need an external text editor, because Nekoweb's text editor, Nekode is behind the Supporter tier. You can use Nekoweb if you want to, I don't want to discourage you from that, but I prefer to use Neocities.
